Disclaimer
Fort Bloodshed MUSH is an IC (In Character) environment. Any and all actions taken in game and thus IC, will be treated as such. Language may be raw. "Political Correctness" did not exist in the 1800's and we will not force nor be forced to exemplify it here. To do so would be to candy-coat history and show a great disregard for the injustices endured by early American settlers of African-American, Oriental, Irish, Jewish, and other racial/ethnic groups who were poorly treated during this time period. If you are easily offended by racial epithets, derogatory remarks or just plain rudeness, this may not be the MUSH for you.We do not promote racism, sexism, animal abuse, murder, mayhem, rape or other unethical/illegal activities in real life. However, such events occurred in the past, and so may happen in the MUSH. OOC (Out Of Character) verbal abuse or sexual harassment of other players or staff will not be tolerated.
MUSH Theme
This MUSH is a re-enactment of the Wild West as portrayed in classic Western movies and popular fiction. The setting fits into the historical context of the Wild West, but allowances are made for the heroic role-play and the ability of characters to create their own legends. It does not strictly adhere to historical accuracies, except in the broadest sense (i.e. Don't think about taking over the U.S or starting your own Civil War).
For character ideas, and to get a better idea of the kind of feel we're looking to create in the game, we recommend the following movies: Quick and the Dead, For a Few Dollars More, High Plains Drifter, Tombstone, Pale Rider, Magnificent Seven, Wild Bunch, Rio Lobo, Big Jake, The Shootist, The Cheyenne Social Club, Silverado, Paint Your Wagon and The Oxbow Incident, 3:10 to Yuma and Deadwood, the HBO series.
