In the words of a manly man named Bogart, "You'll take it and like it."" +ammo +ammo will show you how much ammo you have, and if you are wielded, it will also show how much your gun has. +money This command has you check how much money your character is currently carrying. NOTE: It is not always wise to carry your money with you all the time. The bank is sometimes (if not usually) safer. +finger SYNTAX: +finger <character name> +set This command allows you to set your character one of three 'modes' IC means that you are 'In Character', ready to roleplay and interact with others in the persona of your character. If you are currently'Out Of Character' (OOC), this command will return you to the IC world exactly where you left off. Likewise, if you were AFK, this command allows you to resume roleplay. OOC means that you are 'Out Of Character'. This teleports you to the out of characte room, where you can converse with others as yourself (i.e. you are no longer playing the role of your character. SYNTAX: +set IC or +set OOC EXAMPLE: You return and wish to roleplay some more, so you would type '+set IC'. Later, you wish to take a break and just talk with a friend in the OOC room, you would type '+set OOC' +nom (Short for +nomination) This command allows you to nominate people you think are worthy of note for good roleplaying. All players get 2 +noms per IC period <every two weeks>. Votes are compiled at the end of each period and converted into points that can be used to raise your skills. The more votes a person receives, the higher their point award. Voting for the same person twice in the same period is a waste of one of your votes, as is voting for yourself. SYNTAX: +nom <nameofplayer>=<Reason you are awarding the +Nom>. EXAMPLE: Bob roleplays with a guy named Joe. He enjoys it, and decides to award Bob with a +nom. He would type '+nom Joe=Really interesting RP in the bar the other night, when he revealed his past to us' +getnoms This command allows you to see how many +noms you have left to award others in the current IC period. It also lists the last person you +nommed. SYNTAX: +getnoms +jreq (Short for Judge Request) This command signals any judges online that you are in need of their assistance, either to answer a question, help you with a code problem or bug, or judge a combat or other IC action. The more concise you are in stating exactly what the request is about, the quicker the judge will be able to respond. SYNTAX: +jreq <the reason you need a judge> EXAMPLE: Your character has just been insulted in the Saloon. You want to take a swing at the person who insulted you. You know (because you are a good player who reads the rules) that you must have a judge present to oversee combat. So, you type '+jreq I have just been insulted by Joe-Bob and I want to punch him in the face'. Any judges present (if they aren't busy) will respond. +who This command allows you to see who is connected to the MUSH, along with some added information about them. You may also use the WHO command, but it will display different information. SYNTAX: +who +init This command is used during combat and determines when you act during the combat round. The judge will tell you when to type this command. This command automatically rolls your agility and modifies it by the relative speed of the weapon you are wielding. Smaller weapons are generally faster than larger, bulkier ones. SYNTAX: +init +stats This command allows you to view your character's attributes and skills. It also lists your unallocated experience points, your current health, and whatever weapon you are currently wielding. SYNTAX: +stats +special This command allows you to view your character's special skills (those not listed on the normal +stats display). SYNTAX: +special +check This command has your character check a particular skill you possess to see how well you can accomplish a task. It rolls a number of dice corresponding to the level of your skill (i.e. if you have a 5th level skill, it will roll five six-sided dice). SYNTAX: +check <skill name> EXAMPLE: Bob wants to lift a heavy rock. A judge asks him to check his lifting skill to see if he can. Bob types '+check lifting'. The code then emits how well he rolled, and from there, the judge determines if he can move the rock (or if he just gave himself a hernea). +knock This command allows you to knock on a door so that those in the room beyond can hear and respond. SYNTAX: +knock <exit name> EXAMPLE: If there is an exit in a room named 'Big Door <BD>', you would type +knock BD. People in the room beyond would hear that someone is knocking at the door. +shout This command emits a 'shout' to the rooms connected to the room you are currently in. SYNTAX: +shout <message> EXAMPLE: You type '+shout Help!'. Everyone in adjoining rooms would hear a male or female (depending on the sex of your character) voice shouting "help!". +treat This command allows a character with the Medicine or Herbalism special skills to treat the wounds of an injured character. Depending on the roll the code automatically makes when the command is used, the doctor may heal some or all of the injured character's wounds. SYNTAX: +treat <character name> EXAMPLE: Doc Holliday wants to help his friend Wyatt, who has just been shot. He types '+treat Wyatt'. NOTE: This command can only be successfully used on the same person twice per day. +conceal This command allows a character to conceal (hide) an object on their body (tucking it into a pocket, a fold in a robe, etc.). Once concealed, the object will no longer be visible to others looking at your character. This command automatically rolls your Concealment skill to determine if you can hide that particular object. NOTE: Some objects are easier to conceal than others. Some objects are impossible to conceal. Also, you cannot drop or give away objects while they are +concealed, you must +unconceal them first, nor can one +wield a concealed object, either
